  • Hi guys.
July 31st was my surgery date.

My operation was a success. Dr.Raphael did an amazing job.

I’m alive and awake at this moment.
First few hours coming out of surgery was the most hazy feeling you’ll ever feel plus a side of pain.
My operation time was at 7 am. We arrived at 6 am. I came in feeling with nerves and anxiety. Lots of thoughts ran through my mind. But I had to remind myself that this will be quick and you will not feel a thing. Such as the nurse had talked through the other day.
They made me the first patient for the day. Personally I think they wanted to make sure I was already sleepy before I got on the operation table. Lol

Before I know it, they called me and have me my gown to get undress in. They also required me to do a urine sample. I also had my earrings on and had to ask for some plastic place holder for temporary. Then it was time to head to the operating bed. I was surprised how warmed the bed was as I climbed onto it. My partner stayed with me while they prep me. The doctor came in to check up on me, then he started to make the markings with his green marker. After he was done, the doctor made some small few humor to make me at ease. He has such a congenial personality.

From there the nurses and the anesthesia doctor started my IV. At this moment I was feeling a lot of anxieties. It was not that quickly that they found my veins as it would for my blood work.
But they were able to get me to calm and numb the area where the IV would enter. Which that was great, since the needle part was making me more nervous.

From there it was on to the operation room. Before they wheeled me away, I was able to have a moment with my love. With both of us tearing, we kissed each other and said I love you’s. And that was the last thing I remembered.

Everything from that moment on, I felt as if I went to sleep. Into a deep slumber.

I was awaken by a voice and the next thing there was my beloved just as I saw her before I closed my eyes. The nurse stood at the foot of my bed and started to guide me out of my groggy state.

It was like the movies, where you’re trying to make out was going on after being unconscious. Just splash of moments stood out to me.. Getting dress. Getting wheeled out. Part of the ride home. And lastly me ending up on the couch.

Not going to lie. The first few hours will be hard to adjust from the pain. I even barfed twice. But it was just out of queasiness.
